After School
Tea with Auntie
Sometimes me and my sister are invited to have tea after school with Auntie.
Auntie is really nice, she hosts a table of food, that she prepares', especially for us.
The Arrangement Set
Auntie is very particular about the way she arranges her table, she always starts with the outer rim and works her way into the center of the table, placing the teapot down last.
Auntie says there are many family stories to be told about this particular teapot, that she uses', just for us, on some particular days', and that this particular teapot hosts many of her favourite family memories'.
Being the oldest of us, auntie always opens the first chair for me, taking hold of the wooden frame while she tucks me into the very edge of the table, then she proceeds to do the same action for my younger sister.
In front of me, there is always sat, auntie's very special tea set, that is also arranged in a very particular way, it has a very small delicate flora design, with intricate details of minute paintings'.
I picked up one piece, once, holding it very close, so that it almost touched my face, with my breath steaming the ceramic plate, as I was looking at the pretty painted flowers', auntie said, I must place the plate back down upon the table, and not to do that again, as she didn't wish for her plates to be smashed into tiny fragments of none repairable pieces'.

From my experience with auntie, it is always best to listen to her advice, as she might refuse our company for tea on other occasions', so as much as I disliked doing what she told me, I placed the plate back down, gently onto the table, while awaiting for the yummy delicate hand made cakes', that she would bring to us on a silver plaited tray.
She always allowed us to pick from the assortment of delicately presented cakes', as she would pour our favourite flavoured tea into the pretty ceramic painted tea cups', then she would join us at the table.
Auntie didn't have children of her own, so she liked us telling her our stories' of what we used to do at school, how we spent our weekends', where we went to on holidays', I love auntie, because she never became tired of our conversations and always had just five more minutes for that extra special moment.
